The Decision To Buy A Timeshare
The first experience we had with Timeshares is when we took a vacation to Hawaii and rented a place through Redweek. This was at a Marriot Vacation Club Resort and it was beautiful we loved the two bedroon unit we stayed in and all the amenities that came with it was awesome.
For many years my wife and our kids always took our spring break trips to Florida and near Orlando there is a resort called Orange Lake through Holiday Inn, we never stayed there over years but always heard about it.
Fast forward to today when booking a hotel recently we was presented the opportunity to come down for the presentation in Florida and check it out. Now that are kids are grown up my wife and I decide to take a four day trip to Florida and check it out.
Once we got there are first thought was we are going to say no to this, but after touring the facilties and seeing the pools, rooms and amazing golf courses, Orange Lake was really nice. After touring everything went back to the office with our sales rep and talk about cost. I will tell you this, for many years my wife and I talked about buying a place in Florida, either a house or condo and as you know there is on going monthly costs for that as well so with that in mind it was something to help navigate the decision making process for joining Holiday Inn Vacation Club.
I wont cover the financials but what we did do was buy in with points and not weeks which will allow us to travel around and stay at any of the resorts owned by Holiday Inn or there extended RCI network. Looking forward to documenting every location we go to through this blog site.
